Very Berry Smoothies

Heya,

Believe it or not both pictures are in fact the same recipe. However, the reason for such a strong difference in colour is primarily due to the ratio of berries in my frozen berry mix! I tend to just freeze berries a day before they are about to go bad and its always a mixture of raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. However, some days there are more blackberries and some days more strawberries hence the difference in colour! Smoothies, honestly, are one of my favourite things. I love the texture, flavour and just the general feeling of "niceness" the strong kick of vitamins and nutrients gives you. Especially thick smoothies! don't get me wrong, I do like juice but I would always prefer a thick, almost sorbet like smoothie. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do and please comment below if you switch up the frozen fruit combination as I LOVE trying new smoothies!

Here is my recipe for Very Berry Smoothies:

Ingredients: (Serves 2-3)

  • 100g Plain Yoghurt
  • 10g Unflavoured Protein Powder (this is primarily for thickness so you can use oats instead)
  • 100g Frozen Berries
  • 100g Frozen Mango
  • 100g Frozen Fruit of Choice (you need 300g of frozen fruit but most combinations will work well)
  • 100ml Non-Dairy Milk (I use Almond)

Method:

  1. Blend everything together in a strong blender
  2. Enjoy!! (yes its that simple)
