Cookie Monster Cookies
Heya,
One thing that is incredibly important to me is not wasting food or ingredients. This recipe is perfect for this! Cookie monster (aka trashcan cookies) are normal chocolate chip cookies but filled with all the leftover snacks and half eaten packets of bits and bobs in your kitchen (I’m talking sweet snacks not day-old pizza and half eaten pasta!) the recipes itself is relatively straightforward and it is totally up to you what your add ins are making the recipe totally unique every time. When it comes to choosing what to add in, I usually say you need: a biscuit, a cereal, a form of chocolate and something more wacky (eg: pringles) in order to get that perfect element of surprise over what they will taste like each time. I also like to keep my biscuits, especially for this recipe, relatively underdone in order to get that gooey texture which my brother and I love so much- “the texture of the cookie dough at Cream’s” as my brother puts it. Although this may sound surprising, you can’t really go wrong with this recipe and it is the perfect thing to make with kids or just generally to rope the whole family in to get involved!
